Educate Interactive is a
creation of classroom teachers seeking to improve the
educational community. David Casas, Tony Dichiara and Todd
McMath are teachers that recognize several needs that are
not being met effectively:
1. Teachers continually reinvent the wheel instead of sharing
resources and experiences.
2. The educational resources provided
to teachers are expensive and ineffective.
3. The educational
community is disconnected.
In order to find solutions to these
problems, they embarked on a journey to create Educate Interactive Inc..
Currently, Educate Interactive is addressing these problems in the educational community.
1. New teachers are constantly
entering the profession with little to no resources. What
resources they do receive come from textbook companies or
from purchasing resources with their own money. In order to
solve this problem, Educate Interactive has developed a
free educational community called the Teacher's Exchange that
will enable teachers to share resources with experienced
teachers in their field to build quality educational content. No longer will a teacher have to
reinvent the same information. Instead they can build and
improve on the shared experiences of colleagues.
2. Educational resources are
expensive and ineffective. This problem results from the
resources being made by companies seeking a profit that have
not tested the effectiveness of their product in the classroom. That is what
makes Educate Interactive unique!
Educate Interactive was created by teachers who teach in
real classrooms. All resources and simulations created by
Educate Interactive are tested and proven
effective by classroom teachers. The resources are kept low
cost so that teachers can easily afford them. In fact, you
will save a great deal of preparation time, which in turn
saves you money.
3. The Educational Community is
disconnected across the country and around the world.
Educate Interactive has created a community that
encourages and motivates educators to interact with one
another. It is only through the connection of educators that
we can find solutions to common problems.
